About the Author :

Possessing an extensive background in breeding and judging, author MEREDITH JOHNSON-SYNDER and her husband AI immediately fell in love with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel during a trip to the famed Windsor Dog Show in London, England. After visiting as many leading breeders as possible, they became deeply involved with the Cavalier as breeders and exhibitors upon their return home. During this time, they met Lamont Yoder, who shared the Johnson -Synders' devotion to the Cavalier, and the trio soon formed a successful family affair under the Rattlebridge Cavalier prefix. The Rattlebridge team became significantly involved in establishing the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, which eventually became recognized by the AKC as the breed's official parent club. Meredith was one of the 12 founding members of the new organization, was appointed as vice president, and became a member of the judge's education committee, as well as editor of the club's annual publication.

To date, the Rattlebridge team has taken 17 Cavaliers to their AKC championships, 11 of whom were homebred.
