Creature Comforts PVC Backed Coir Door Mats are made from the husk of the coconut. The coconut growers on the coast of southern India use every part of the coconut.
Virtually nothing goes to waste. Each mat uses the husks of about 40 coconuts. The husks are first 'seasoned' in the lagoons off the coast, then each husk is beaten by hand to extract the fibre. The fibre is then spun into yarn which is tufted mechanically in molten PVC to ensure durability and non skid. Then stencilled with vibrant designs. In this case it is a image of a "Hi They Call Me Staffie" and who could resist this warm welcome. A great gift for any Staffordshire Bull Terrier loving family.
Your doormat is an eco-friendly, wholly natural product, produced by exactly the same method used for centuries.
- 100% Naural Coconut Fibres
- Fully Biodegradeable
- To prolong the life of your doormat desing, do not place in direct sunlight or where it will remain wet for any length of time
- Shedding is normal during the initial month of use. During this period, simply bursh or shake the mat to maintain it's best appearance.
