About the Author :

Author CHARLOTTE SCHWARTZ has bred, shown, and trained Miniature Schnauzers for almost 20 years. A noted author, trainer, and dog behavior consultant, she was the founder and owner of the Brandy Lane Dog Training School in Mt. Holly, NJ until 1983, when she moved to Australia to teach dog behavior and obedience classes to veterinarians in Tasmania.

Along with her dog, Ginger, she is now a resident of Fort Myers, FL, and is a dog behavior consultant at the largest veterinary clinic in southwest Florida, where she teaches all levels of classes from puppy to advanced dog training. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Anglo-American Dog Training Club and is a life member of the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, Inc. (NADOI) and the Lenape Tracking Club. She has published many books with T.F.H. Publications on
dog training and behavior, including Training Your Dog for Sports and Other Activities, The New Owner's Guide to Poodles, The New Owner's Guide to German Shepherds, and The Guide to Owning a Mixed Breed.
