Nina Ottosson Dog / Cat Finder
[PO-0037] 54.95 AUD

Nina Ottosson started the Zoo Active Products AB in 1993, with development and design of dog-activating toys and games for dogs and dog-owners, which is to mentally activate the dog in a positive and educational manner.

Dog Finder is an exciting and activating game for you and your dog.

The dog is to look for treats by moving blocks in four different directions. The block can only be lifted at the end of each track. Under each block there is a depression where treats can be hidden…

The idea…

With Dog Finder is that you and your dog will have a nice and enjoyable time together. The dog is to learn to look for treats by moving blocks with its paw or nose in four different directions. The block can only be lifted at the end of each track. Under the blocks there are hollows where treats can be hidden. You can place 1 or 2 blocks in each track. Teach the dog to understand words like: wait, go ahead, back off, find it, sit etc while you are playing. Enrich your relationship with your dog. You show. The dog/cat looks, listens and learns. Praise it when it does things right. Together you will have fun!

Use…

The first time you use only one block in each track, with treats under each block. Let the dog be present to see when you hide the treat. Tell the dog to go ahead and let it try to find the treats by itself. If the dog does not understand, lift one block and show the treat and let the dog try again. Praise the dog as soon as it does things right. When the dog has understood how to work, you hide a different number of treats in each game. It depends on the dog how many times you manage to play. If the dog tries to bite the game or its parts, put your hand over it and stop the game. When the dog has calmed down you can say “go ahead” and let the dog try again. If the dog repeatedly wants to bite, teach it to work only with its paw. If, on the other hand, the dog wants to throw itself on the game and beat excessively with its paw, then teach it to work with its nose by putting the game on a stool/chair which is adapted to the size of the dog. This is also useful if the dog has an injured paw or is newly operated.

Increase the degree of difficulty…By using more blocks in each track.

Tips… If the dog/cat finds it hard to grip the blocks, you can tie a string through the holes in the blocks.

Important…Do not let the dog/cat chew or bite the toy. Play only together with the dog/cat; do not leave the dog/cat unattended. The dog/cat must not play or chew the blocks/parts. Put the game away when you have finished playing. Only for animals, it is not a toy for children. Suitable for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes.

Degree of Difficulty - 2

Easy to clean and also suitable for cats.
