The new "Step-In" style harness is extremely easy to fit, it is designed as a restraint in a car, however it is equally functional as a walking harness. The new design is clipped together with just one buckle and will stay securely in place on your dog even without a Lead or Seat Belt strap attached, yet we have retained the strength for which Black Dog Harnesses are renown and which is so important for your safety when traveling with a dog in the car.

Black Dog Car Harnesses are important because they reduce the dog's movement around the car, reducing distractions for the driver, but most importantly, in the case of a crash, they can save human lives by preventing the dog from becoming a projectile within the car.

Because of the design, choice of components and workmanship, Black Dog Car Harnesses are arguably the strongest available, we believe it will reduce the risk of injury, but we cannot guarantee to prevent it.  No Car Harness gives your dog the same protection a human gets from a Safety Belt, but a well fitted, strong car harness may just save your life.
