A good entry level cat fountain. Plastic tends to scratch after several cleanings, even when using the Drinkwell cleaning kit. Too many parts & small nooks/corners/hard to reach spaces makes for difficult cleaning. The one I bought developed a leak at the underside where the motor/pump fits into the bowl about 1 year after use. At about 18months, got a bit noisier too, especially when water level went 1cm below the brim. Motor tends to heat up so recommend putting it on a timer.
It's been a lifesaver for my cat. Was a great idea when we first discovered it 5 years ago. Today (2013), there are better products on market e.g. ceramic or stainless steel ones that are dishwasher safe
