About the Author :

KAREN KLEINHANS has been involved in Chinese Shar-Pei since 1982. She has made a career handling, breeding, obedience training and showing top champion Chinese Shar-Pei under the Kasu kennel name. Karen has judged Shar-Pei across the nation since 1984. As chair of the Judges Seminar Committee, she was instrumental in producing the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America Breed Video. In addition, Karen has been a very active member of both the CSPCA and the Gateway Chinese Shar-Pei Club over the years. Karen is a Dog Writers' Association of America award winner for her "Tales From Ringside" column in The Barker. She has also written for the AKC Gazette and various local newspapers.
